About the Department
The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a two-year program designed for students who
wish to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical sector. This course provides
comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy fundamentals, including pharmaceutical
chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, hospital and clinical pharmacy, and drug
store management. It prepares students to understand the properties, effects, and
uses of medicines, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of pharmaceutical
drugs. With a strong focus on practical training, students gain hands-on experience
through lab work, internships, and industry exposure. After completing the D.Pharm
course, graduates can register as pharmacists and work in hospitals, community
pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, and health clinics. It also serves as a
stepping stone for further education, such as a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
Ideal for students interested in healthcare and medicine, the D.Pharm program offers
a rewarding career path in serving society and improving public health.
